Day 1. San José

Transfer to the airport for your flight to San Jose. Arrival at the airport. You will be met at the airport and continue your journey the the Arenal Volcano and the city of La Fortuna. Here you can relax in the best thermal springs while watching at the beautiful Arenal volcano. Arenal Kioro Hotel BB.

Day 2. Arenal / Caño NegroReserve

Meeting your guide at the hotel at 08:00. (Transfer duration: 2 hours). After breakfast we start our tour to Caño Negro. (Tour duration: 3 hours). Upon arrival you will have welcome drinks, and then you will discover the diverse wildlife of Costa Rica on a comfortable boat ride through Caño Negro and the Rio Frio. Cruise through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge enables you to get up-close views of monkeys, iguanas, egrets, herons, sloths, and an array of other wildlife. At the end of the excursion lunch will be offered. Accommodation at Arenal Kioro hotel.

Day 3. Chocolate tour Arenal Or Monteverde Rainforest

Chocolate lovers will enjoy this incredible tour that includes the sweetest experience and unearths the hidden secretes of local chocolate production. Visit a farm where cocoa is grown, processed and produced. This hands-on experience lets travelers enjoy delicious chocolate while learning about history, culture and traditions of this popular Costa Rican sweet. In the afternoon, a walking tour to the Arenal Volcano National Park is planned. We walk along the slopes of the volcano in its southwestern sector, along the trail called Los Tucanes, which passes through the flows of solidified lava that destroyed this area in 1968. In the evening a journey to Costa Rica's past awaits us: we attend a unique folklore show where colorful decorations, costumes and traditions come together to tell the story of the origins of this small country and its friendly people. OR Tour to Monteverde (rainforest tour duration: 12 hours) Monteverde Early in the morning we set off for the famous village of Monteverde in the wet rainforest (transfer duration: 3 hours). Our journey starts with visiting Viento Fresco waterfalls, (tour duration: 3hours) during which you will experience the beauty and power of nature by exploring five magnificent waterfalls located in the cliffs of Cerro Pelado and Cerro San Jose mountains. While walking along the trails you will be awed by a magnificent view of Nicoya Bay. Don’t miss a chance to bathe in the crystal waters of the waterfall, too! Then you will return on horseback to the starting point of the tour. Here you will have a traditional Costa Rican lunch at Viento Fresco

Day 4.

We start our trip at 9:00. In search of the blue waterfall in Costa Rica! The Rio Celeste National Park is a beautiful 1.5 hour scenic drive from the Arenal Volcano through rural villages. The Río Celeste waterfall is near the Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes and is becoming an increasingly popular area to visit in Costa Rica for hiking. Once we arrive, we will begin a hike through the dense, lush, tropical rainforest that surrounds the Tenorio National Park. You and your nature guide can go at your own pace and you'll learn interesting things about the rainforest along the way. When we arrive at Los Tenideros, where two rivers come together, you'll be amazed at the celestial turquoise blue water color that comes from the waterfall. Local legend as explained by members of the Maleku indigenous group of the area claim that God was painting the sky a celestial blue color and reached down to dip his brush to turn the river its magical blue color. But for a more scientific explanation, the celestial blue color is created when the minerals in the water: aluminum, silicon and oxygen are suspended in the water and refracts light from the sun so that the flow looks blue. Day 5.

After breakfast you will have a guided walking tour in the area of the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a beautiful, environmentally-friendly nature project located near the Arenal Volcano. This is considered one of the best nature walks in Costa Rica. There are trails and bridges that bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to the birds, flowers, and the lush vegetation of this primary rainforest. This is the perfect tour for nature enthusiasts visiting Costa Rica! The trails are designed for all ability levels and cover a total of about 2 miles. At 13:00 you will start one of the most exciting tours in Costa Rica - Sky Trek & Sky Tram. The Sky Tram is a cable car, 2.5 km long, The Sky Tram gondolas rise smoothly through the Rain Forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent and allowing you to enjoy beautiful views of the Volcano and Lake Arenal. Sky Trek is 2.8 km route. At Sky Trek you ride the tram up the mountain, and then get back to the base riding our thrilling ziplines, making it a perfect adventure activity with no walking segments – get off and jump on to the next cable. You’ll ride 8 cables that go up to 200m (656ft) in height and 750m (2460ft) in length where you will be astounded by its impressive heights, speeds that go up to 70km/h (43.5mph), views, and because you will be able to admire the surrounding mountains like in no other place. (Tour duration: 2.5 hours) Or Rafting: You will be picked up from your hotel and then head deep into the Costa Rican countryside to begin your adventure of a lifetime. Trek deep into the rainforest and rappel some of the most-impressive tropical waterfalls in Costa Rica in the Lost Canyon! You will be provided with high-quality equipment: ropes, helmets, gloves, and you will also be able to practice on the first waterfall of 5 meters high. The Gravity Falls Costa Rica canyoning adventure involves a 140ft rappel down a rushing waterfall into a deep crystalline pool, five cliff diving waterfall jumps ranging from five feet to 25 feet, a canyoning swim through a narrow passage, going river tracing and other climbing adventures. You will experience the thrill of rafting down Rio Balsa on this white-water adventure! Following the lead of an experienced guide, you’ll navigate Class II and III rapids as you pass through a lush rain forest landscape. Day 6. Doka Coffee Tour / Poas Volcano / La Paz Waterfall Gardens

At 8:00 in the morning you will be picked at your hotel for your journey towards the Central Mountain Range where you will visit an authentic Costa Rican coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poas Volcano. The main objective of the Coffee Tour is to educate and inform the whole production process as well as the processing of coffee, where you can learn about the production, the harvesting, the processing plant and the roasting of the grain. Don’t miss the opportunity to get the best coffee at a low price. Later, we will start our tour to Poas Volcano. As we ascend towards the Poas Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape. In the Poas Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano we will continue to La Paz Waterfall Garden for lunch and tour. On arrival to the La Paz, we will walk through a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park we will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit. (Meal: lunch) Hotel el Silencio

Day 7.

Today we go to the Puntarenas province located in the western part of the country, covering most of Costa Rica's Pacific Ocean coast. We start our excursion on the bank of the river Rio Grande de Tarcoles. Be ready to see a multitude of wildlife including the famous, huge 20-ft American crocodiles or rare sighting of the Scarlet Macaw that inhabit the Carara Biological Reserve. You’ll be accompanied by a bilingual guide who will point out the often difficult- to –see wildlife along this two- hour boat trip of the Tarcoles River and into the Guacalillo mangrove estuary. You’re bound to see more crocodiles here than anywhere else in the world! After lunch you will be transferred to the international airport for the private flight to Nicaragua. Day 8. Granada, 360 islets, Volcano Masaya and volcanic Lagoon

Granada known as the oldest colonial city of Mainland America, has survived pirate’s attacks, civil wars, fires and more in its rich history, since its foundation in 1524. We will start this tour full of history visiting the main Plaza, La Casa de los Leones cultural center, the San Francis o museum and convent, the Ceramic museum, La Merced church and La Calzada. At the harbor, we take the boat for a ride around some of the famous islets of Granada. Keep in mind that there are 360 islets that originated from the eruption of Mombacho Volcano. During the ride, don't miss the opportunity to admire the flora and fauna and tranquil lifestyle of Lake Nicaragua. You may also have the chance to see monkeys in some of the islets. You'll then arrive at the private island of Zopango, situated in front of Mombacho Volcano. Here you can take a swim, explore the island, birdwatch or relax in a hammock, all while you let the views of Mombacho Volcano take your breath away. La Merced and La Calsada. Then we will travel to the Masaya Volcano National Park, the first and largest national park in the country to observe the impressive Volcano Masaya and visit its active crater. We will visit the famous Masaya craft market. The Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve, or Apoyo Laguna is located between Granada and Masaya. It was formed thousands of years ago. Laguna de Apoyo has the purest water of any freshwater lakes in Nicaragua. You can easily reach the Laguna by car, but there are not many tourists there. In the Laguna you can relax and swim, go kayaking or surfing.
