Three undiscovered treasures on the northern coast of South America. Visiting these three countries will give a unique experience in cultural diversity and cultural heritage. There is a mix of British, Dutch and French influences in architecture as well culture experience. Along with this you will encounter pristine accessible nature not far from the city with wildlife spotting possibilities and jungle hikes, explore canoeing on the wide rivers, meet with the locals and see cities of wood! We offer you a seven-day package that includes the must-sees of these three beautiful cities of these countries: Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.


Day 1: Arrival in Suriname

Today, you will arrive in Suriname, at the International Airport with American Airlines flight. There you will be met by our driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Paramaribo city.

Day 2: Paramaribo city and a historical plantation tour

Today after breakfast, we will take a walk through the inner city of Paramaribo and see the most prominent historic buildings and their unique architecture. We will visit several UNESCO heritage sites, including Independence Square, the Palm Garden, Fort Zeelandia and the waterfront. We will also visit the local market and the Maroon Market, where one can find a lot of natural medicines and other products from the rainforest. After the city tour, we will visit Peperpot nature park, an historical coffee plantation. On our way back, you can enjoy the sunset on the river and perhaps spot Pink belly dolphins. After sunset, we will drive back to the hotel in Paramaribo. Suriname is the only Dutch speaking country in South America. (B)

Day 3: Suriname – French Guiana - Space center

In the morning, we will drive to Albina, a border town in the east of Suriname. Here we will go through customs and depart across the Marowijne river by pirogue, a long, covered dug-out canoe, or with the ferry to St. Laurent, French Guiana. This will take approximately ten minutes, and in St. Laurent, we will pass through French customs. Then, we will drive to Kourou and visit the Space Center. Created in 1964 by the French space agency, the Space Center is a 700-sq. km site, and accommodates a number of different countries’ space programs. After our tour, you will check into your hotel in Kourou.(B)

Day 4: Devil’s Island

Today, we will enjoy a full day or Îles du Salut, sailing out to the islands by catamaran. This penal colony of French Guyana, including the famous Devil's Island (Îles du Diable), was a famous prison of the 19th and 20th century. It operated at several locations in French Guiana, including the major site at St. Laurent. Opened in 1852, it was notorious for being used for internal exile of French political prisoners during that period. If you wish, there will also be an opportunity to swim in the warm waters around the islands. After the Devils Island tour, we will return to the hotel in Kourou. (B)

Day 5: Cayenne

Cayenne city tour and Transportation camp After breakfast, we will drive to Cayenne, the capital of French Guiana, where we will have a city tour that will visit the highlights of the city and its heritage sites with their beautiful architecture. After the tour we will drive back to the border, stopping to visit the transportation camp St. Laurent du Maroni, which was the old main penal establishment of the France for a century. This is the jail where ‘Papillon’ was imprisoned. We will continue back to Suriname and check into hotel of Paramaribo. (B)

Day 6: Georgetown city

Georgetown city tour and Kaieteur Falls: world's highest single-drop waterfall Today you will have a flight from Paramaribo city to Georgetown. You will do a tour of the city of Georgetown. We will walk by beautiful colonial architecture, and visit the botanical gardens; then to the busy, 24-hour Stabroek market, the hub of this vibrant city. After the Georgetown City Tour, we will drive to local Airport and take a fifty-minute flight to the Kaieteur Waterfalls. Located on the Potario river, it is the world's highest single-drop waterfall of 740ft. They lie in the Amazon rainforest, in an area that has been declared a natural reserve, the Kaieteur National Park. After visiting the Kaieteur falls for around two hours, we fly back to Ogle Airport. There you will be transferred to your hotel in Georgetown. (B)

Day 7: Departure Guyana

Today we will transfer you to the international airport in Georgetown where you will depart from Guyana onwards.
