About Brazil
Brazil, the largest country of South America is full of outstanding white-sand beaches, pristine rain forests and rhythm-filled metropolises. With its dramatic landscapes of red rock canyons, thundering waterfalls and the exotic tropical islands, the county is well known as the most fascinating tourism destination throughout the world. In addition to this, its diverse ecosystem shows off the greatest population of flora and fauna with beautifully colored animals and birds that surprise its visitors.
Brazil's capital, Brasília, stands out as a distinctive achievement. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it exemplifies 20th-century modernism in architecture and urban design. Brasília is more than just a city; it is a meticulously planned capital.
Inaugurated on April 22, 1960, Brasília was established in the heart of Brazil, transforming an arid, uninhabited region into a thriving metropolis in just five years. When President Juscelino Kubitschek took office in 1956, he sought the expertise of Brazil’s foremost architects to design the new capital. Oscar Niemeyer, now celebrated globally, crafted groundbreaking structures by blending straight lines with curves, while Lucio Costa, a prominent urban planner, designed a layout that balanced aesthetics, simplicity, and functionality.
