Day 3: Iquitos & Amazon - Board the Aria Amazon Luxury Cruise
Transfer to the airport for the flight to the Amazonian city of Iquitos (45 minutes).

AQUA EXPEDITION
Group journey into the largest tropical forest on Earth, covering about 40% of South America and stretching across nine countries.

Travel into the jungle, as the locals call it, is only possible by boat on the legendary Amazon River. Wide waters, a slow current, and banks hidden behind walls of green.

This great artery begins in the foothills of the Andes in Peru and flows east for 6,400 km to the Atlantic Ocean. One of the largest rivers in the world by length and by water volume. In the rainy season, the water rises and floods the forest along its banks.

The Amazon is one of the richest ecosystems on the planet: home to at least 40,000 plant species, 427 mammal species, 1,300 bird species, 378 reptile species, more than 400 amphibian species, and around 3,000 species of freshwater fish.

For travelers who love luxury river cruising and immersive jungle experiences, our Amazon VIP Experience offers a similarly exclusive journey with private guided excursions and premium service.

Day 8: Machu Picchu - The Lost City of the Incas
At the appointed time, transfer to Rio Sagrado station. The Vistadome train carries you to the ancient Inca town of Machu Picchu.
12:24: On arrival, walk to the bus station and ride up to Machu Picchu (about 25 minutes).

The time has come to visit the lost city, one of the great reasons to choose a Machu Picchu and Galapagos tour. The Inca city sits at about 2,400 meters above sea level: stone terraces, buildings with perfectly fitted stonework, and a feeling of complete isolation. Viewpoints open onto mountain ridges and deep valleys below.
The best time to visit Machu Picchu and Galapagos is from May to October. This is the dry season: clear skies, good visibility of the mountains and ruins. On the islands, the water is cooler, but there are fewer tourists and the wildlife watching season begins in full.

17:00: Bus down to Aguas Calientes.
17:50: Train back to Rio Sagrado station.
On arrival, transfer to Cusco (about 1.5 hours). Stay at Belmond hotels Peru Palacio Nazarenas, Junior Suite, breakfast included.

If the ancient stonework of Machu Picchu inspires you to explore more of the Inca legacy, our 3‑country tour combines Peru with Brazil and Argentina, including the thundering Iguazu Falls and the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires.

Day 9: Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca Full-Day Excursion
When you look at these geological formations, you feel as if the slopes have been draped in bright fabric or painted by a surrealist. The slopes of Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca are striped in ochre, terracotta, green, and grey: the traces of minerals rising to the surface.

Rainbow Mountain is part of the Andean range of the Cordillera de Vilcanota. From the summit, you can see the Ausangate mountain view, one of the most sacred mountains of the Inca. The summit reaches 5,200 meters above sea level, so acclimatization is essential when planning your ascent.
Every year, pilgrims gather at the foot of the mountain for the Qoyllur Rit'i festival. They come to the sanctuary that locals call an Apu (meaning 'sacred' in Quechua), to make ritual offerings.

Full day excursion from Cusco with a guide, breakfast and lunch included. Departure at 04:00, return to Cusco around 19:00. The route is designed for determined travelers.
It is possible to ride a horse for the last 300 meters (cost: USD 60).
Accommodation at Belmond Palacio Nazarenas, Junior Suite, breakfast included. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 10: Cusco - Sacsayhuaman & Twelve-Angle Stone
Today the Cusco city tour covers all the key monuments: from the Inca ceremonial complexes to Spanish architecture preserved since the 16th century.

First, the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman ruins (about 3.5 hours). Massive stone blocks, fitted together without mortar, with astonishing precision.

Then Tambomachay, with its system of water channels, and Puca Pucara, perched on a hilltop with views over the valley.

Next, the Qorikancha temple. Its name means 'Golden Courtyard': in Inca times the walls were covered with sheets of gold, and even now the stonework carries a sense of its former grandeur.

From the San Blas neighborhood, the quarter of the craftsmen, a walk leads along Hatun Rumiyoc street. Along the way: the Palace of Inca Roca and the famous Twelve-Angle Stone Cusco, a single stone with twelve perfect angles fitted seamlessly into the wall.

Day 11: Flight to Quito (Ecuador)
Transfer to the airport. Departure at 10:55, arrival in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito at 17:47. Transfer to hotel Casa Gangotena Quito.

Quito takes its name from the Quitu people, who lived in this region at the end of the first millennium. In the 15th century the Inca conquered these lands. In 1533 the Spanish founded a settlement here under the name San Francisco de Quito.

Quito stretches along a mountain valley: dense buildings, church domes, slopes visible from every direction. The city sits at about 2,800 meters above sea level, so after the flight it is important to rest and allow time to adapt.

The evening is best spent quietly. Ahead lies the Quito historic center UNESCO and the equatorial line. A calm evening helps you move gently into the next stage of the journey.

Day 14: Quito: City Tour and the Intinan Museum
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Quito. Transfer to hotel Casa Gangotena Quito.

Today: a Quito city tour with a visit to the equatorial line (about 8 hours including transfers). Quito has one of the best-preserved historic centers in the world, which earned it its place as the first city ever designated a Quito historic center UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the Church of San Francisco, monasteries, courtyards, and colonial buildings. At Plaza Grande: the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and the City Hall. A special stop at the Jesuit church, its facade covered in intricate stonework. From the Panecillo viewpoint, a sweeping view over the city and the valley.

Then an excursion to the Middle of the World Monument Quito: the monument built in memory of the 1736 geodesic expedition that calculated the position of the equator. In truth the structure stands 240 meters south of the real equatorial line, which was discovered in the 20th century using GPS.

Then a visit to the Intinan Museum equator. Here you can watch experiments showing the effects of the equatorial line on nature, and see the traditional homes of different peoples of the region. Return to hotel. Free time.

SEYMOUR. Early departure to the Itabaka Channel and boarding the yacht (about 1 hour crossing). Landing on the island: a stony shore and a forest of grey-silver palo santo trees. On the Galapagos Islands tour, you swam with sea turtles and rays, walked across volcanic islands, and watched birds from just a few steps away.

When you read the reviews of a VIP tour Peru Ecuador like this one, what travelers remember most is not a list of places but a feeling: rare access, animals without distance, routes without crowds, and logistics without a single problem.

This is the heart of the Peru Ecuador Galapagos tour: a journey rich in contrast, in changing landscapes, altitudes, and climates. You witness rare moments from the animal world and become a guest of ancient ruins. That feeling stays with you for a very long time.
