Sport Fishing
· Yellowfin tuna is the main species of tuna and is certainly the largest in Costa Rica. These 100 to 300-pound fish test your back, legs, the whole. The world record for tuna was over 400 pounds, but it was generally found that most of the tuna are smaller and travel in large schools.
· Wahoo is rare in these waters but catches a few. They usually connect at 2-4 per year which is in the range of 50-100 pounds

Day 1: San Jose
Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport. You will be met by our representative, and transferred to the hotel. You will have a detailed explanation of the upcoming trip. Overnight at the Barceló San Jose Palacio.

Day 2-3-4: Pacific Coast
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Pacific coast (transfer duration: 4 hours)
We'll be fishing in Flamingo, the best area of the North Pacific. Located on the northwest coast of Costa Rica, Flamingo is the best sport fishing destination. Only twenty miles west of Port Flamingo the water is deep from 360 to 2,000 feet or more, providing a perfect ecosystem for pelagic species such as: peaceful sailfish, blue, black and striped marlin, dorado, yellow fin and big-eyed tuna. In addition, just five miles from the port of Flamingo there are islands of Catalina and Brummell, where anglers catch year-round, including: wahoo, Sierra markel, Spanish mackerel, big-eyed horse mackerel.
