The Guiana Amazonia National Park is the largest national park in France, located in French Guiana. The area of the park is 33.9 thousand square kilometers. The park was established on February 27, 2007. There are no roads leading to the park, and access to it is possible either by air or by water.

The entire territory of the park is located in the zone of tropical forests. The wildlife of the park is quite diverse, it includes about 480 species of freshwater fish, a little more than 180 species of mammals, almost 300 species of reptiles and amphibians, about 720 species of birds. The abundance of various turtles, snakes, frogs gives a special originality to the park, and local alligators stand out especially against their background. A significant part of the insect fauna consists of very beautiful butterflies.

Most of the park is under special protection, and there is a ban on the extraction of any minerals in this zone. And he is acting for a reason, since it is still quite easy and simple to find gold in the riverbed of the park. The rest of the territory of the national park is at the disposal of the local Indian peoples: Vayana, Tekos and Maripasula.
