As you step off the plane at Mexico City International Airport, a friendly, bilingual host will be there to greet you—holding a sign with your name and offering a warm welcome to one of the world’s most vibrant cities. You’ll be transferred comfortably to your hotel in the heart of the capital. The rest of the day is yours. Unwind, soak in the atmosphere, or head out for a first taste of the city. Maybe it’s a golden-hour walk through tree-lined plazas or a drink on a rooftop terrace—however you begin, Mexico City is ready to enchant you from the very start.

DAY 02 – Timeless Streets & Cultural Treasures

This day is a journey through Mexico City’s beating heart, where Aztec foundations meet colonial splendor and modern vibrancy. Begin your exploration of the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk the grand Zócalo, framed by the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral and the Templo Mayor's ruins, once the ancient Tenochtitlan's ceremonial center. Continue past the elegant Palacio de Bellas Artes and the lively Alameda Central, where art and everyday life blend effortlessly. Later, visit the world-renowned National Museum of Anthropology (Closed on Mondays) —a cultural treasure trove that showcases Mexico’s pre-Hispanic civilizations. Admire the Aztec Sun Stone, the giant Olmec heads, and richly detailed artifacts that tell the story of Mexico’s ancestral roots. Your certified guide brings it all to life with insight and passion. After the tour, return to the hotel or enjoy lunch and soak in the capital’s rhythm.

DAY 03 – Teotihuacan & Shrine of Guadalupe

Your morning begins at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe—Latin America’s most sacred pilgrimage site. As you explore the sprawling Basilica complex, you’ll feel the deep devotion that fills the air. Visit the original 16th-century chapel and the striking modern Basilica that draws millions of visitors annually. Next, step back in time at Teotihuacan, the legendary “City of the Gods.” Walk along the Avenue of the Dead, stand beneath the towering Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, and imagine life in this powerful metropolis that flourished long before the Aztecs. With insights from your expert guide, the stones come alive with stories of cosmic alignments, mighty rulers, and enduring mysteries. After this unforgettable day, return to your hotel to relax and reflect on the incredible journey through time.

DAY 04 – Xochimilco & Southern Neighborhoods
Duration: 10 Hours • Pick Up: 8:40 -9:30 am • Language: English and Spanish. Available: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This day is all about contrasts and colors—where contemporary creativity meets timeless tradition. Begin with a panoramic drive through two of Mexico City’s trendiest districts: La Roma and La Condesa, known for their art deco facades, lush parks, and café culture. These neighborhoods reflect the city’s cosmopolitan side and are hubs for artists, designers, and locals who love good food and great design. As we head south, we pass by the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, a striking cultural venue wrapped in one of the largest murals in the world. Then, we make a quick stop outside the Ciudad Universitaria, the main campus of UNAM—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—where we admire the Olympic Stadium and the iconic Central Library covered in a dramatic mosaic mural by Juan O’Gorman. The journey continues to Xochimilco, one of the most beloved and unique spots in Mexico City. Known as the “Venice of the Americas,” this ancient network of canals dates back to Aztec times. Hop aboard a colorful trajinera (gondola-style boat) and drift through floating gardens surrounded by mariachis, local food vendors, and vibrant scenes of daily life. It’s a festive, sensory experience that connects you to the deep cultural roots of the Valley of Mexico.

DAY 05 – Journey to Oaxaca

Today, you’ll say goodbye to Mexico City's vibrant rhythm and set off toward the colorful cultural heart of Oaxaca. Whether you fly or take the scenic overland route, your journey will be smooth, comfortable, and filled with beautiful glimpses of Mexico’s diverse landscapes. Either way, adventure awaits as you get closer to Oaxaca’s world of art, flavor, and tradition. Option 1# For a faster and more convenient journey, you can take a direct flight (not included) from Mexico City to Oaxaca. Upon landing, one of our friendly drivers will greet you and take you straight to your hotel in the heart of Oaxaca’s historic center. Flight Information: Domestic flights are not included in the program price, but we’re happy to help you with the booking if you wish. The estimated cost is approximately $150 USD per person when purchased in advance. You’re also welcome to book your flight—just let us know your preference, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Option 2# Prefer a scenic route? Travel by private car from Mexico City to Oaxaca with a cultural stop in Puebla, one of Mexico’s most beautiful colonial cities. Along the way, enjoy a relaxing break in Puebla’s historic center, famous for its colorful talavera tiles, Baroque architecture, and vibrant culinary scene. Whether it’s a stroll through its charming streets or a leisurely lunch, this stop adds a meaningful layer to the travel experience before continuing to Oaxaca. Please note: This service is transportation only. The driver will take you to the places mentioned, but no entrance fees or guided tours are included. The distance covered is approximately 500 km from Mexico City to Oaxaca.

DAY 06 – Oaxaca City Tour
Duration: 4 Hours • Pick Up: 9:00 -9:30 am • Language: English and Spanish. Today begins with a guided walking tour through the historic heart of Oaxaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with color, character, and centuries of culture. Explore the majestic Santo Domingo Church, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Walk the lively Andador Turístico, lined with artisan shops, galleries, and cafés. Visit the Zócalo, Oaxaca’s main square, and enjoy the vibrant local life. Your expert guide will share insights into the city’s rich colonial history, pre-Hispanic heritage, and ongoing cultural traditions. After the tour, enjoy free time or enhance your experience with one of our curated optional activities, such as a cooking class, visiting local art galleries, or a mezcal tasting with a local producer.

DAY 07 – Monte Albán, Alebrijes & Black Clay Traditions

This day is a deep dive into the legacy of the Zapotec civilization and the living artistry of Oaxaca’s surrounding villages. Begin at Monte Albán, the mountaintop ceremonial city that was once the cultural and political center of the Zapotec world. Walk among temples, pyramids, ball courts, and ancient tombs as your expert guide brings this breathtaking archaeological site to life with stories of cosmic alignments, sacred rituals, and daily life from over 2,000 years ago. Then, continue to San Antonio Arrazola, the birthplace of alebrijes—fantastical wooden creatures hand-carved and painted in vivid colors. Meet local artisans and witness the creative process that blends imagination with ancestral tradition. Finish the day in San Bartolo Coyotepec, famed for its black clay pottery. Visit a family-run workshop to see how this ancient craft is shaped, burnished, and f ired—entirely by hand—into gleaming works of art.

DAY 08 – Mitla, Weaving Traditions, Natural Wonders & Mezcal
Duration: 9-10 Hours • Pick Up: 9:00 – 9:30 am • Language: English and Spanish. Today is a celebration of Oaxaca’s spiritual heart, artisan soul, and natural beauty—all in one unforgettable journey. Begin with a visit to Mitla, the sacred city of the dead and one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mixtec-Zapotec culture. Unlike Monte Albán, Mitla is known for its striking geometric stone mosaics—a visual language carved in stone that speaks of life, death, and eternity. Continue to Teotitlán del Valle, a picturesque weaving village nestled in the Sierra foothills. Here, local artisans use natural dyes and ancestral techniques to create handwoven textiles that are as meaningful as they are beautiful. You’ll witness the full process—from spinning to dyeing to weaving—and meet the families who keep this tradition alive. Next, travel to Hierve el Agua, a stunning geological formation resembling cascading waterfalls, made of mineral deposits. Enjoy time to take in the panoramic views or dip your feet in its natural infinity pools suspended above the valley. Finally, cap off the day with a visit to a traditional mezcal distillery, where you’ll learn about this iconic Oaxacan spirit—from agave field to smoky sip. Tastings included, of course.

DAY 09 – From Oaxaca to the White City

Today, you'll say goodbye to the mountains of Oaxaca and head to Mérida, the elegant capital of Yucatán known as La Ciudad Blanca (The White City). A private transfer will take you to the Oaxaca airport, where you’ll board a short domestic flight to Mérida. Upon arrival, another private transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Once checked in, take a moment to refresh before stepping out to explore the city. In the afternoon, join us for a guided walking tour through the main streets of Mérida’s Centro Histórico. Discover the majestic Cathedral of San Ildefonso, one of the oldest in the Americas, and stroll past colonial-era buildings and the vibrant Zócalo, where history and everyday life blend beautifully. Available tour times: 13:00, 16:00, or 18:00 hrs. To complete the day, we’ll gladly recommend some of our favorite local spots where you can enjoy a delicious Yucatecan meal. Be sure to try regional specialties like cochinita pibil, sopa de lima, or papadzules—flavors that make this region truly unforgettable.

DAY 10 – Uxmal & Cenote Escape

Today’s journey takes you deep into the heart of the Yucatán Peninsula, where time slows and the echoes of the past still whisper through the trees. Begin the day exploring Uxmal, one of the ancient Maya's most beautiful and sophisticated cities. Wander through the majestic Pyramid of the Magician, the grand Governor’s Palace, and the elegant Nunnery Quadrangle—each revealing the remarkable artistry, astronomy, and ceremonial life of this once-thriving civilization. To end your day, cool off with a swim in a cenote—a sacred natural pool nestled in the jungle. These crystal-clear waters were once revered by the Maya and continue to offer peace, refreshment, and a touch of magic.

DAY 11 – The Magic of Santa Bárbara’s Cenotes

A Day of Sacred Waters & Jungle Trails. Today is dedicated to nature, adventure, and the magic of Yucatán’s legendary cenotes. You’ll head to Santa Bárbara, a beloved destination near the village of Homún, where a series of stunning cenotes awaits—each one a unique window into the underground world that the ancient Maya held sacred. Ride through peaceful jungle trails by bicycle or aboard a charming horse-drawn cart (truk), discovering three or four distinct cenotes along the way. Some are open to the sky, shimmering under sunlight; others are hidden in caverns, echoing like natural cathedrals carved by water and time. Whether you take a refreshing swim, float in silence, or simply admire the rock formations and crystal-clear water, the experience is pure, grounding, and unforgettable. This is not just a swim—it’s a connection to nature, to history, and to yourself.

DAY 12 – Chichen Itzá, Cenote & Valladolid

A private driver will pick you up from your hotel in Mérida and take you straight to Chichén Itzá, where you'll join a guided tour (Shared) of this legendary archaeological site—one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Stand in awe before the Temple of Kukulkán, explore the Sacred Cenote, and walk through the Great Ball Court, all while learning the secrets of this ancient Mayan city. Afterward, cool off with a swim in a nearby cenote, a refreshing dip in sacred, crystal-clear waters hidden in the jungle.
